Build is believed to have started with a rust-free
body, taken off of the frame, stripped, and painted on a rotisserie in “Nancy
Dana” red 2-stage urethane.
All the glass, chrome, weather stripping, and trim
were either re-plated or replaced to bring the car up to “show car” standards.
Engine & Transmission:
Rebuilt 1968 400 c.i. using 1970 Pontiac Ram Air IV
cylinder heads (#614) and exhaust manifolds.
Camshaft is believed to be a Ram Air IV item too.
The recently rebuilt carburetors are part of the era
correct 3 x 2-barrel option which was available on the 1966 Pontiac GTO. A
noted change is an electric choke.
The rebuilt M-20 wide ratio Muncie 4-speed is mated to
a Hurst Competition Plus shifter with Line-Lock.
Rebuilt stock clutch pack assembly including flywheel.
