1953 Chrysler Special Coupe

This is one of 16 Chrysler Special coupes that were hand built in Turin, Italy by Carrozzeria Ghia. The paint has a patina of originality. Chrome and stainless steel are all original. It's a truly impressive car no matter which angle you look at it from. The interior is also very original, with the brown leather seats and carpeting being redone. The interior is absolutely stunning in design and execution. The heart of the engine compartment is the venerable Chrysler 331 CID hemi V8. The engine starts willingly and sounds great through the dual exhausts. The engine has a 1954 4-barrel carburetor, although the original carburetor is also included. The Ghia has the Fluid-Matic automatic transmission which is smooth and reliable. This Ghia is a mostly original car that has been maintained to its current form.
