Complete frame-off restoration completed in 2010. Every nut and bolt (almost every bolt in the car is stainless steel). New quarters, fenders, floor. No existing rust. All stainless restored. All new glass. Much of the chrome is new and there are a few original chrome pieces in great condition. New original-style silver and black interior. Body is straight and the body seams are not the best, but probably no worse than they were in 1957. Paint is super glossy and deep black - looks like glass, but is showing some signs of aging. There are few places where the sealer and the base coat are reacting. I recently had the rear quarters painted and it is not rust. These places are small and I could not get them to show up on a picture - they look kind of like a run in the paint. Paint looks fabulous from 5 feet away! The top is a classy pearl white.

This restoration was done by my dad. It was an original-style restoration - new everything. Too many things to list. All new wiring throughout. All electrical components function as they should. I acquired the car about 6 years ago and have done lots of mods to make the car a better and more comfortable driver. I added power steering and front disk brakes with Wilwood calipers and slotted rotors. The front is lowered with modular drop spindles and I recently installed 5-leaf drop springs on the rear. I added a sway bar on front, so it handles and drives much better than before - still not gonna drive or handle like a Corvette, but its predictable and a joy to drive. It did have power brakes, but it was so sensitive I went back to manual brakes - stops great!

The engine is a 283 bored 0.060" with forged pistons and forged steel crankshaft. The heads were just worked with stainless MLS head gaskets. No issues with engine - except for the infamous SBC rear seal oil leak (very minor). Tuned port fuel injection was recently completed with new powder-- coated fuel tank and in-tank Walbro pump. This system is ethanol tolerant, so you don't have to worry with finding pure gas. Custom tuned on factory 90's Corvette ECM. Painless harness tucked neatly out of site. Ceramic-coated exhaust manifolds and new exhaust front-t0-rear. Walker quiet Flow mufflers. The engine bay is meticulously detailed and as neat as you will find. Has a 200/4R transmission with lock-up converter - shifts like it should. 3.36 ratio in original era rear axle. Speedometer works and dead accurate. All wiring is protected by fuses as they should be.
