EXTERIOR: They couldn't have started with a body any cleaner. Very solid. It still features 4 suicide doors, a working cowl, flip out windshield and all 6 side windows rolldown. The pistachio color paint is polished to a beautiful wet finish. It is a high quality body and paint restoration, that is immediately obvious at first sight. It has been hand pinstriped. True to the nostalgic hot rod look by being bumperless, fenderless and no running boards. Other original features are the chrome grill, metal hood with louvered sides, chrome door handles, headlamps and taillights. The original style wire wheels are painted a dark, rich brown and they complement the car perfectly. Reproduction black wall tires, bigger in back. The vinyl roof insert is new. All new tinted glass.
INTERIOR: Just completely redone very tastefully and timelessly. The rich brown naugahyde upholstery has a vintage look with crinkles and color slight variations. Sewn similar to original patterns. Everything was upholstered to match-seats, door panels, headliner. Sharp looking dash has polished ribbed instrument bezel with new vintage style gauges. Original type banjo steering wheel. Has chrome turnsignal switch. The a/c unit with chrome deflectors hangs neatly under the dash. All the metal trim is painted gloss brown. The carpet is first class vintage Mercedes style with sewn edges.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Typical choice of hot rodders, it has a 327 Chevy motor. On top is vintage aluminum intake with 3 Ford dueces and chrome louvered air cleaners. All 3 carbs are functional. It's dressed up with aluminum finned valve covers. A much appreciated piece of modern technology is the new air conditioning system. The firewall and underside of hood is painted as nice as the body. Firewall is even hand pinstriped.
UNDERSIDE: Solid original floors are sprayed with thin coat of sound deadener. Frame is painted to match the body. Upfront it has a drilled drop axle and chrome SoCal shocks. Steering components are new. Bottom of motor is clean, has mini high torque starter. The 5-speed trans is another desirable upgrade. It has a hydraulic clutch. Driveshaft and u-joints were just upgraded. Has hydraulic drum brakes. New dual exhaust with glass pack mufflers.
