1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 V8

This coupe has an iconic presence. The blacked-out grille, form-fitting bumpers, and all that complete trim is exactly the kind of look that made the '60s a legendary era for the best muscle cars with flair. It was only offered on in 1968, and so while the application isn't absolutely perfect on this example, it has an underling specialness that Chevy fans will love even before you give it a respray. Plus, the sheetmetal is straight, the gaps are good, the rubber is nice, and the details are complete, which all makes this one quite impressive. The trim tag tells us this was correctly born with a black vinyl roof, and that harmonizes with the Super Sport's correct black lower section for a well-coordinated mix of sporty and sophisticated.

Inside is more distinction with the factory-correct medium teal. Born a bucket seat car, the button-top presentation makes this coupe feel premium and sporty all in the first glance. The door panels are intricate and complete; the headliner is taut; and the dash is clean. So it all makes for a nice place to spend some time.
