This K5 is fully loaded with options and has had a complete frame off professional restoration at Rtech fabrication in north Idaho. You might know Rtech from there social media famed Duke build and there latest creation the Ponderosa!! You can check out there work and the full restoration pics of the Blazer on there Facebook page ,Instagram or there website. This is hands down the nicest first generation K5 I have ever owned and I have had quite a few. The Blazer was built to have a original look with tasteful subtle mods. This rig was taken off the frame and media blasted . All metal repair was done. High end paint job. Medium blue base clear. The frame and running gear were stripped down. Frame was blasted and coated and put back together with all new bolts, leaf springs, suspension ,brake lines, fuel lines ect. The motor started as a 350 crate motor then had 1.94 76 cc heads installed with head studs, roller rockers, screw in rocker studs,RV camshaft and so on. With all the upgrades the motor was dressed to look all original. The motor is backed by a fresh rebuilt TH350 transmission with a mild shift kit. The transfer case was also completely disassembled and rebuilt. All new drive lines, differentials have been gone through, all new brakes, new fuel tank. The exhaust was built with original specs. All the running gear is very sanitary and detailed like original. The interior has been completely restored. The seats were completely taken down and rebuilt with new springs, foams and one off blue and black houndstooth inserts. All new high grade original style carpet kit. Restored original Cheyenne package door panels, new Cheyenne rear panels, tach dash, tilt wheel, factory am radio,N.O.S dash pad ect. All new glass . All of the trim is N.O.S minus the door handles and mirrors. The wheels are factory G.M 15x8 stealies that have been stripped and coated. The tires are BFG KM2's 33.10.5.15, 4inch all spring lift kit and Bilstein shocks all they way around. The single wall top was completely restored . The hatch was taken apart and had extra bracing added inside to increase strength and prevent cracking. All new glass and seals on the top with N.O.S hatch handle and keys as well hatch struts and hardware including a N.O.S cargo light. It would take pages and pages to go over the entire build. The rig was built with 90% N.O.S or reconditioned G.M parts. The rig looks amazing! Runs and drives great as well. I have put a little under 500 miles on it this summer . I have cruised it around in 95 degree weather with no issues. The Blazer is better then when they were built new to say the least. There are plenty of nice Blazers out there for sale for less then this one. But frankly they just are not the caliber of this build. That being said there are a few very minor detail things that would need to be buttoned up . Nothing that would prevent you from driving and enjoying this rig as is. This was not a built to flip typical ebay classic. This K5 took around 3yrs to get to were it is now.
