This 61 is by no means perfect, but is one of the nicest original ones that I have seen that still has all original sheet metal including the quarter panels. The worst part of the car is the right quarter panel. When I bought the car, it was bare metal in front of the right rear tire. There was a dent in that spot and it was pulled out with a stud gun and they did not prep it correctly, which is why the paint came off. I got some black paint and brushed on some paint to prevent it from rusting. I then sanded the black paint down and sprayed some grey primer over it. I did not finish it off. It needs to be blocked and primed again before paint. What you see is what you get. That one area is in grey primer. I posted pictures of the quarter panel to show what I did.
This car runs and drives, but is not road ready. It pulls to the left really bad so It either needs an alignment or a front end bushing. I replaced all brake shoes, brake rubber hoses, rebuilt or replaced all wheel cylinders. Tires are new. It runs great. No smoke. No knocks. No miss. Shifts great. Power steering. Power brakes. Power top (switch works, but top does not work).
