You are looking at a very nice 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback that is a great running and driving car with a lot of appeal. The Paint is nice and shiny, the interior is extremely clean and mostly new, and the car is turn key ready to get in and enjoy. This is NOT a mustang that has been thrown together to look nice. This car presents very well, turns a lot of heads, and runs and drives great.

The engine is its original 289 2V V8 numbers matching. The car starts right up, drives great, and the transmission shifts just as it should, nice and smooth. This car is really ready to enjoy.

Engine:

Numbers Matching Original 1968 289 2V Engine
Very Original

Transmission:

C4 Automatic

Interior:

The interior has just been freshened up with many new parts. The interior has new carpet, new seat covers, new door panels, new arm rest pads, new dashpad, new gauge bezel, new dash trim, freshly refinished console, new steering wheel, and freshly painted dash and doors. The car comes with a new headliner also because the original has seen better days. Look at the interior pictures, it is very nice.

Body:

The body of this car is very straight. The car has its original floor pans and they are in great shape. Both front torque boxes are also in great shape, original, and have never been patched on. The frame rails front and rear are very nice, dry, and clean and has never been patched on. The trunk floors are also original and very solid. The car is a great example of an original body. The car has a new Hood Scoop and 68.5 R code style black stripe.

The paint is nice and glossy, but is driver quality but very nice and presentable. It’s not concourse but for a car you are gonna drive, it looks good, very glossy and has a nice deep rich red look. It was just buffed and ceramic coated.

The lower quarters are the only things that have been patched and they were done very nicely right behind the rear wheels on both sides. The lower quarters have a few minor bubble spots, as do the doors in a couple places, trunk and hood. All Minor bubbles. Driver quarter has one small rust spot. Top of aprons have the notorious small holes. Paint hassome small touchups here and there throughout. Little crease on passenger side rear of hood.

VINS:

The car has the factory VIN stamp on the apron, factory windshield tag on passenger side, factory buck tag, and factory door tag. I also have the factory building sheet I found behind the gauge cluster.
