This is a 1970 Mercedes 280SL in highly restored condition. The car has undergone our 280SL process which includes:
Engine:
Engine removed and resealed, block and cylinder head rebuilt by Metric Motors. Full tune up, all new drive belts, hoses and clamps. New water pump and thermostat, radiator rebuilt. All new motor mounts, firewall pad, timing chain tensioner, new exhaust. Rebuild fuel injection pump, new starter,
Suspension and undercarriage:
Strip clean and undercoat undercarriage. New fuel lines, new Mercedes exhaust. Clean and reassemble rear differential, clean and detail gas tank. New sumframe bushings and Bilstein shocks.
Brakes:
New brake pads and rotors, new brake lines, new master cylinder.
Paint process:
Car is completely disassembled, window removed, cowl removed, doors, hood, trunk removed. Car is then stripped to bare metal and painted using correct Glasurit paint. We painted this car to its original color combination, Silver ( DB # 180) . All new Mercedes seals are used when car is assembled. New tires.
Interior:
All new leather seats, door panels, dashboard, kick panels and rear quarters. All new German carpets. All materials are premium Old timer leather from GAHH of California. Wood refinished at Madera Concepts. New German canvas soft top. Original Becker radio is refinished. New window felt, new window seals., doors are taken apart and put back together to insure no rattles.
