Body is excellent, original Healey blue paint (with creme sides...suspect the sides were painted separately) is also excellent (considering it has been on the car for near 60 years), floors are excellent, no rust, just in the last year, owner had seats redone in dark blue leather with white piping, and new dark blue carpets. Dash is excellent, all original gauges work, wiring is excellent, very clean engine bay, new trunk Hadura matting fitted, excellent original tonneau cover and an expensive new stayfast cloth convertible top.
Even has its original hardtop (plastic window is very good, just needs the rubber seal to be refitted) with excellent inside padding. Note how the body panels and doors all fit well, door jambs are excellent and all original, has its original BMC AM radio.
Starts instantly, runs flawlessly, zero smoke, 60psi oil pressure, quiet valves, no dreadful oil leaks, wiring looks excellent, very clean engine bay, underside, suspension, etc.
Wire wheels look to be in excellent condition (and might be new), has new radial tires, chrome is very good with no pitting or peeling, very good set of perfect fitting side curtains, new master cylinders, brakes redone, exhaust sounds.....perfect.
Remarkably, even with the size and weight of the big six cylinder engine, steering is quite light, ride is excellent, effortlessly cruises at any practical speed in top gear/
overdrive. And all of the things one might look for in an inspection....rear springs (not sagging), overdrive (clicks in and out instantly), gearbox (quiet in first and reverse gear, excellent synchromesh action)....all are virtually 'like new.'
