The elegant and factory-correct Bamboo Cream paint certainly looks the part of a gentleman's express. You can see this was part of a more recent application, and the quality radiates in the sunshine (exactly what you want in a sunshine-friendly convertible.) It's all part of a larger package where you can see they invested in keeping this full-size droptop looking distinguished. This is the debut year for the generation, and they really made the most of the Wide Track look with the dual grilles separated by the hood. This example shows it off particularly well with the grilles and big wraparound bumper shining brightly. There have been plenty more investments in the brightwork, so that full length side trim really loves to shine while also highlighting the straightness of the sheetmetal. And we absolutely love the way the rear bumper flows right into that hint of tailfin.
The tan folding roof is a quality piece that looks good against the cream paint. But for true distinction, you really want to show off the interior of this convertible. With the flip of a switch, the power top reveals a custom leather interior that looks and feels terrific. It has been done in a classic style pattern, so you get to enjoy the upgrades while still looking very vintage. And the moment you slip behind the stylized steering wheel, and gaze over the bright and beautiful dash, you get that instant feeling of nostalgia. They really made to keep this vintage while still delivering a car you're going to want to enjoy. For example, the original radio may be on display, but your real music comes from a modern AM/FM tuner with Bluetooth and USB input that's hidden away in the glovebox. This is a full-size convertible that's ideal for sharing with family and friends, and so that's why there are comfort features like the air conditioner that's running on modern R134a.
