Exterior
Medium Blue Metallic now covers nicely straightened steel panels all around. There is slight misalignment on the trim spear on the driver's side between the front quarter and driver's door. Chrome and trim work is all good with few faults, even when studying it closely. This chrome and black painted spear runs the gamut on the sides and presents itself at the belt line, and does a beautiful job of breaking up the blue steel slabs. A pristine front grille is flanked by single headlights, and silver painted front bumper. Seen on the hood is a large scoop which will funnel plenty of air into the big mill underneath. A shout out to the B pillar with its V shaped design that adds to the very nice line this car produces. 15-inch Torque Thrust 5-spoke wheels in matte battleship gray are on all 4 corners. The fronts are wrapped with 225/75 R15's and the rear sports 345/45R15 wide tires.
Interior
Nearly perfect Super Stock style front buckets and matching rear bench are draped in black vinyl. The buckets feature light weight brackets, and RCI wide harnesses. An original dash with a metal front and padded dash top houses all the correct gauges. An original steering wheel is in front of this dash and has a shift light mounted to the column. Other aftermarket additions include a dash mounted tachometer, and an aftermarket oil gauge which hangs below the dash. Excellently preserved black carpet floods the floors, and a tight headliner is above.
Drivetrain
Truly the money shot on this car, full specs are available, but in a nutshell a 426ci Hemi stroked to a consigner stated 471ci which was built by Mancini Racing out of Michigan. It has aftermarket Mopar Performance Aluminum Hemi heads, and a Mopar Performance cross ram intake manifold and 2 4-barrel Holley 770 CFM carbs on top. A 727 Torqueflite 3-speed automatic transmission is on back and has a 4500 stall converter. An 8-3/4-inch rear that has been narrowed 6 inches to accommodate the rear tires. TTI ceramic coated headers are seen and a 3-inch Flowmaster exhaust is now on.
Undercarriage
Frame, rockers, body hangers, and floor pans all are looking straight and secure with no rust. New steering components are now installed, and correct factory torsion bar front suspension is on. The rear suspension features Super Stock rear leaf springs.
Drive-Ability
A well-built engine that fires right up, and off we go! Plenty of brute power in this car offering up some neck snapping acceleration, and also a good cruiser. Steering was nice and tight, and brakes stopped us quickly.
A beautifully performed restoration/upgrade to a cross ram racing setup with some massive power under the large scooped hood in the form of a beefed up Hemi, really nice interior looking just like the original would have looked, presenting in black, and some good brakes which are certainly important when you've got all that power up front. Smoke 'em if you got 'em!
