1968 GTO convertible. This car and it's ORIGINAL drivetrain was all totally rebuilt back in 2001/2002 professionally by a restoration shop in Dayton, OH. It is a true, numbers matching 242 GTO convertible.
The body was done at that time, and the original outer sheetmetal is still on the car along with the original floorpans. The color is not original. It is all base coat clear coat.
The interior is all original to the car, even the carpet. The convertible top was replaced once a couple decades ago and has one small blemish in it over the driver's quarter window. It is a fully functional power operated top.
The Hurst dual gate shifter is original to the car.
The engine is original but was rebuilt in 2001. It was bored and new forged pistons installed along with a Aerodyne roller cam, Jackson gear drive, Holley 750, Hooker headers, ported heads, MSD ignition and an RPM intake. It was dyno'd at the time at 370 HP and 437 Ft Lbs torque. It runs extremely well.
