Crisp and elegant, the Continental became an icon of 1960s style, complete with rear “suicide” hinged doors and enjoyed a successful run from 1961 through 1969. In 1966, the fourth generation Lincoln Continental, had a second redesign. It had an all new body, adding 5 inches in length, to accommodate additional leg room in the rear seats, 1 inch in height and 1 inch in width. The convertible top went through a redesign by adding a glass rear window and adding a second hydraulic pump for opening the convertible top and trunk lid. The electric convertible top works like a charm.
This particular motorcar had a total restoration, top to bottom, a number of years ago and is still wearing it well. It is finished in a Mason Black, with a new black interior and like new black convertible top.
