For sale at Blackdog Performance Cars is a magnificent 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible with an insatiable LS7 V8 engine. The gloss black paint shines beautifully to a mirror like finish, and is accented by all the gorgeous Bel Air brightwork. The black and white leather interior matches the exterior perfectly. It is a simple, almost stock appearing interior that makes you appreciate the styling of the Bel Air back in 1955.
Under the hood you will find a 427 CID LS7 V8 engine with a plethora of custom parts. The top of the engine features an intake cover that mimics the 55’ front fender and has 427 emblems on each side. The faux valve covers hide the modern coil packs, and carry BDSS (Blackdog Speed Shop) emblems on top. A BECool radiator and electric fan are in place to keep the LS7 cool no matter the weather. Custom, one off headers, were built to insure proper fitment and performance, and also provide a beautiful sound. A Tremec 6-speed manual transmission transfers the power to the Heidt’s independent rear end with ease. This all sits on a Heidt’s chassis that features a Pro G front end, coil overs on all four corners, an inboard rear brake setup, and Wilwood 4 piston calipers all around. Billet Specialties 18-inch wheels create a truly awesome stance and help modernize this Tri-Five Bel Air.
