This stunning Camaro was custom ordered during the peak of the muscle car era in the summer of 1967 and is just one of the mere 602 Z/28s' manufactured in the first year of the pony car. Of all 1967 Camaros produced fewer than 4% were in this arresting Tahoe Turquoise color and most certainly considerably less were Z/28s'. Fast forward to 2021 and the Z/28 still looks like it did when new, compliments of an exceptional comprehensive restoration in the 90's that has stood the test of time, as well as the careful ownership of this blue-chip muscle car. The Z/28 is powered by a warranty replacement 302 cubic-inch solid-lifter V8 that General Motors and Chevrolet conservatively rated at 290 horsepower, however the performance lends to a higher output number. All this power is transferred to the pavement via the Muncie close-ratio four-speed manual transmission and durable 12-bolt posi-traction rear axle. Power front disc brakes, anti-roll bar and traction bar keep the sports car pointed in the right direction. A laundry list of optional equipment includes Rally Sport package, tilt steering column, console with gauges, and remote driver side mirror just to name a few. Original documentation is abundant with the presence of the Sales Invoice, Owner's Manual as well as Protect-O-Plate and Camaro Hi-Performance Certificate. In addition, ownership papers from new for the mostly two-owner car are included as well. A USCC Nationals Gold Award Winner, the Z/28 has also been featured in several Camaro reference and fact books. Also included with the purchase is a restoration 302 block that has been professionally magnafluxed and possesses the ideal casting date and proper vehicle information placed on the original virgin stamp pad. This gorgeous Z/28 is in impeccable condition, both cosmetically and mechanically, and is ready to be showed or cruised. Original Z/28s' are very hard to find in today's Camaro collector world, further enhancing this example's significance, so don't miss your opportunity to own one of the most sought-after muscle cars of the 1960s'!
