The '67 Chevelle strikes the right sweet spot for many of us. It has a bit of added aggression with the sharply pointed fenders extending out beyond the headlights and taillights. At the same time, this has added sophistication with artful pieces, like the flying buttress c-pillars. No other Chevelle design quite had this kind of standout presence. So it's nice to have one in a red that has a high gloss finish to show off these crisp elements of the sheetmetal. Plus, all the details you want on a proper SS tribute are in place, including the dual power bulges in the hood, ribbed rockers, Super Sport badging, and bright Rally wheels. It all makes for a package that represents this icon properly.
The interior shows aggressive yet a premium presentation. This was upgraded to a bucket seat car, and they got the look correct, right down to the premium trim on the seat backs. There's a great classic style in the details, like the faux wood trim and factory A/C sliders (controls and air box are what currently remain.) But what you'll really love the most is what makes this Chevelle a true driver's machine. The thin and grippy SS three-spoke steering wheel on the tilt wheel feels great in your hands. And the center console with floor shift is the ideal performance touch.
It's always great to lift the hood on a Chevelle and see big block power. This 396 cubic-inch V8 is ready to show off with the bold block color, shining valve covers, and matching air topper with callouts all commanding attention in the engine bay. Plus, this 396 is borrowed from a '69, so you are looking at a true muscle car big block. More than just history, this one has been given go-fast goodies like a Quick Fuel four-barrel carburetor and an Edelbrock intake. It fires up nicely and makes a sweet sound out of the dual exhaust. And since this is the kind of hardtop classic you're going to want to show off everywhere, it also comes with great driving features like a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and front disc brakes.
