1966 Shelby GT-350 Mustang with Shelby American Paxton Supercharger (the supercharger added 377 HP & 367 ft-lb), this Shelby is in the Shelby Registry, the Shelby and Ford numbers match and verified by SAAC (the hidden Ford Vin stamps have been verified by Howard Pardee and the SAAC as corresponding with the Shelby numbers on file), this Shelby retains its original 289 ci High Performance engine and its original Borg Warner T-10 four speed Manual transmission, engine has been rebuilt along with Dyno records and the original 4 speed transmission has been rebuilt, this GT350 is 1 of 1,365 non-Hertz Shelby GT350's produced in 1966 and assigned Shelby number SFM6S1108, Ford 9 inch Rear End with 3.89 to 1 rear end ratio, Independent front with coil springs and rear leaf spring suspension, dash mounted 0-9000 rpm tachometer, competition brakes on the rear wheels, Front wheel Disc brakes, Factory installed headers, GT-350 side stripes, Hi Rise Aluminum manifold and Aluminum valve covers, a 715 CFM carburetor, this car was purchased new in July 1966 from Reynolds Ford in Syracuse, New York, a 1966 Galaxie XL with a 427 ci / 425 HP engine w/ the 7 grand kit was traded in on this car and the 1st owner was William S Whitley of Endwell New York, This Shelby is an original Candy Apple Red car with factory white Le Mans stripes, it was fitted with a fiberglass hood and 14" aluminum 10-spoke wheels as documented in the Registry, Mr Whitley specified to the dealer to install 15" steel wheels and an AM radio, the Shelby remained in Mr. Whitley's ownership for 39 years until it was sold to James Clark in 2005 with just over 55,000 original miles, after purchase Mr. Clark commissioned a full rotisserie restoration of the car to exacting standards using NOS parts and a complete mechanical rebuild at which time the period correct Paxton Supercharger was sourced and installed on the car, The Shelby was sold a few years later to Reid Jenson from the current owner aquired the car, have copies of the Shelby shipping manifest and of shipping form for several cars this one included, car still has its original keys, the body- the paint and the interior are very nice on this car!
