This 1967 Chevrolet Impala SS is a real-deal Super Sport with its numbers-matching V8. And as you look over the whole car, you'll see a cool and long hardtop that loves to be all about vintage style with just the right upgrades well-integrated into the total package.

This was a great year for the Impala if you were a fan of '60s style. The design was further enhanced to deliver the curvy Coke-bottle profile and sporty fastback roof. You especially see it in the kick-up that starts after the door and flows all the way to the end of the car. All these features are seen because it's wearing quality paint similar to GM's Deep Water Blue. It takes a sophisticated style similar to black, but then the sunlight hits it, and the deeper tones of the blue come through. The application retains a good gloss, and that not only shows off the crisp body panels, but it also goes well with the good brightwork. The from-hugging bumpers, complete trim, and proper SS badging all have the right level of shine for a quality coupe. It's a true classic Chevy, and keen eyes will pick up on the wheels. They look like classic Rally units, but they are really modern 20-inch alloys that add to the subtle sporty style and also allow you to fit modern sport tires.

Since the dark blue exterior is almost like black, it goes particularly well with the full black interior. And the level of the quality inside will have you rolling down all the windows on this pillar-less hardtop just so people can see the full package. You can tell there has been a solid investment here with the taut headliner, smooth dash, good door panels, and nice carpeting. They get the fundamentals correct, right down to the newer upholstery with correct trim in the seatbacks. You'll even appreciate the vintage details, like the AM radio that's there for display and the working dome light. This is the kind of coupe with plenty of size to carry family and friends, and if they are true vintage fans, they will be impressed. But you don't need any of them to have fun. It's a driver-oriented setup with bucket seats, a center console, a floor shifter, a classic SS steering wheel, and sporty round gauges.

The engine bay continues this attractive full vintage appearance. After all, we love the look of the bold orange block and matching Chevrolet-script valve covers radiating from within the dark engine bay. This stock style is also no coincidence. This is the numbers-matching 327 cubic-inch V8 for this Impala. It has a well-maintained style, right down to essentials like good hoses, wires, and belts. The four-barrel carburetor and upgraded MSD ignition combine for a motor that fires up readily and makes proper cruising power. And the three-speed manual transmission is a great classic feature that also still gives you full control. Good investments in the suspension and grippy ZR-rated tires also mean this full-size coupe cruises with confidence.
