This 1956 Chevrolet 210 Wagon carries all the iconic lines of its more common (and expensive) coupe brothers. And more than just rarity, this example shows the right mix of vintage and upgraded to remain a solid V8 cruiser.

The '56 is an awesome car. You have the exclusive wide grille, jet-inspired hood ornament, and full-length trim that artfully zooms down the sides. And Chevy even gave these wagons some extra beautiful touches, including the way the rear glass wraps around to the tailgate. The white and aqua blue has a terrific 1950s style. After all, two-tones and pastels are all part of the appeal from this era. It has the right overall finish where the gloss of the paint looks good against all that brightwork that divides the colors, but at the same time, this one doesn't try to look like a trailer queen you'll be afraid to drive. In fact, pieces like the bright dual exhaust tips and modern size 17-inch wheels are part of the right thoughtful upgrades that make this classic wagon a true cruiser.

The interior is the right mix of iconic style and real comfort. The two-tone of the exterior returns on the dash. It has the great dual cowl design, and it goes with the chrome ring steering wheel for plenty of vintage flair. The way the doors close with confidence tells you the classic sheet metal has been treated with care. The seats are the classic bench style, but these two rows have been recovered in velour for added comfort. And the carpeting and side panels have been done to coordinate. The split tailgate gives you access to the large cargo area, which makes this perfect for everything from showcasing your company's product to enjoying a ball game. It's a true driver, and so you get the right upgrades like a retro-style AM/FM digital tuner with aux input for better driving music. The well-integrated auxiliary gauges give you better info, and the Bosch column-mounted tach goes well with the floor shifter.

The V8 under the hood is an upgrade, but that's a secret you'll have to volunteer because it looks so correct. They really gave it the right look with the Chevrolet script valve covers, bold paint, and big oil batch air grabber. This is even a 283 cubic-inch V8, the largest from the Tri-Five series. The motor fires up nicely as it makes the right tune out of the Flowmaster dual exhaust. This is the kind of classic that likes you to feel the road, but with the smooth-shifting four-speed and modern sport tires, it also is a confident driver.
