The build started with a documented 83,983 mile car and included an engine, transmission, interior, and a lot of normal wear and tear parts. With a freshly rebuilt big block 455, with low miles since the rebuilt was completed, this GS is ready to give years of enjoyment to the next owner. The engine is a 455 CID V8 that is period correct for this build. The engine is backed with a Turbo 400 automatic transmission that has also been rebuilt not too long ago. Additionally it has MSD ignition and distributor and Special Performance Intake. Also a large aluminum radiator, and Buick aluminum valve covers with K&N air breathers dress up the engine nicely. You will be proud to pop the hood at car shows and show off the big block Buick engine!
The interior has been completely redone with black vinyl bucket seats, new dash pad, new carpet, new headliner and it is in exceptional condition! Power steering and power front disc brakes make this car a dream to drive. Bucket seats and a center console with horseshoe shifter are pure muscle car, and an aftermarket tachometer reminds you this baby is built for speed! The beautiful Light Green metallic paint is topped off with a Deep Green vinyl roof which ties in nicely to the rally wheels. The GS was built on Buicks Skylark platform which shared many components with the Pontiac GTO, Oldsmobile Cutlass, and Chevrolet Chevelle. It is good company to be in from a brand known for luxury cars! Real muscle car enthusiasts know that the Buick GS isn't something to shy away from. It is just as powerful and raw as those other GM products, but something you are much less likely to run into at car shows! If you're looking to stand out from the crowd of GTOs and Chevelles, give this GS a good hard look.
