This 1973 Ford Mustang Convertible is a true classic that has also been upgraded for extra small block V8 pep and extra style. It's the kind of drop-top that you just can't help but want to take out for a sunny Sunday drive.
Ford had the Mustang positioned a little further upscale in 1973. And while they offered plenty of colors (including four shades of blue,) it never looked as deep as this. You're looking at an upgrade to a dark blue later in life. It's a sophisticated color that has a good shine today, and so it fits in with the way a '73 should be presented while also giving you a distinctive style. The body keeps a very factory style, right down to the color-matched front bumper. Even the upgrades are well-integrated because the sporty NACA duct hood and Mag 500 wheels were part of the options list back then. We also like the '73 for the history it represents. This was the final year for the first generation, and they even feared it might be the last drop-top pony car ever (the convertible disappeared for an entire generation.)
