1956 Austin Healey 100 BN2 with 100M LeMans Race Kit
1956 Austin Healey BN2 with 100M Upgrades
Outfitted with the 100M LeMans Race Kit
The car currently shows 25,700 miles and actual mileage is unknown. When restored, every part of the car was rebuilt better than new and a LeMans 100M racing kit was installed at the time of the restoration. Today the car carries with it a 100M LeMans Registry Certificate of Membership authenticating the correct installation of the 100M LeMans racing kit. The LeMans kit includes the enhanced suspension, high lift cam, stronger valve springs, high compression pistons, SU HD6 1.75”carbs, airbox, Lucas distributor with advanced curve, vented hood, front mounted driving lights, and leather belt for the hood tie down. Because it falls under the VSCCA rules for age of manufacture, it would be welcomed in vintage racing events. This car is being driven periodically to keep it fresh.
The interior is immaculate and looks like it was restored yesterday. The paint is outstanding throughout and after 10 years is looking phenomenal. Minor shrinkage on the back hood but does not show up in a photo. All the brite work looks like new. The doors and body panels are all fitted to the perfection you would expect from a Fourintune restoration. PERFECT closures, PERFECT gaps, and laser PERFECT alignments. No dents, no nicks, no scratches, and the under carriage looks as good as the top.
The 1956 of course has the 4 speed transmission and the overdrive. Five spoked wheels are all powder coated and in perfect condition. The car comes with a soft top, side curtains, and a tonneau cover, all like NEW, a partial tool kit, spare tire and wheel (to fit in the trunk) and a 5th spoked wheel.
