The 1967 model year Mustang was the first redesign of the original model. Ford's designers began drawing up a larger version even as the original was achieving sales success. The overall size, interior and cargo space were increased. Exterior trim changes included concave taillights, side scoop (1967 model), square rear-view mirrors, and usual yearly wheel and gas cap changes.
The original 289 option was recently re-placed with a 408 CI stroker that was professionally built by Sunset Automotive with over $8500. in engine cost alone. Some of the build features are the ProMaxx Performance aluminum heads, a roller cam, Edelbrock intake topped with a Holley 750 four-barrel carburetor. This powerhouse engine drives a built 4-speed top loader transmission with a Hurst Comp shifter all of this drives a bullet proof 9”, A-3:00:1 Equa-Lok rear end. This stroked 408 cu in Windsor is dynoed over 400 hp, This car has new headers and a new magna-flow dual exhaust system for the perfect sound. This factory Fastback was built in May of 1967 then delivered to the Twin Cities in MI. This car underwent an older restoration with all new quarters’ new fuel system and tank then was painted in the attractive and classic Black. The owner added 1969 buckets with custom black and grey standard interior. The car came factory with 7A –trim package the Black comfort weave buckets and the fold down sport deck rear seat. The car came with a lower back panel grille, console, deluxe steering wheel, power steering, AM/FM cassette radio, exterior décor group, interior décor group, tinted glass, deluxe seat belts.
