1970 Plymouth Superbird exact clone of a factory built Hemi
This is an exact clone of a factory built Hemi Superbird. Restored to concourse condition. The "Winged Warriors" were built for one reason....to win NASCAR races. The rules said they had to be available to the public. The problem was that the public thought they were ugly and dealers couldn't sell them. Today they are among the most desirable of all muscle cars.

EXTERIOR: Fit and finishes are amazing. I am sure it's far better than it was new. Every square inch is straight. All the body gaps are precision fit. Doors shut like a new car. The nose fits right on, headlight doors work. It has an original rear wing. It also has an original rear window and fillers. The Hemi orange paint is polished out like orange glass. Jambs are just as slick. All the weather strips and window seals are new. The windshield, lenses and vinyl top are new. The stainless trim is polished like chrome. The chrome bumper, handles and mirror are new. The 15 inch rally wheels are new, extra wide in back. Wrapped in BFG tires.

INTERIOR: It looks brand new from carpet to headliner, even the little details. In front of me is a pristine dash area. The chrome bezels and knobs sparkle, gauges look new, no cut or broken plastic. It has an original am radio, new glove box liner with working light. New deluxe steering wheel. New carpet on the floor with embroidered Road Runner floormats. New upholstery, headrests, door panels and armrests. The headliner is tight as a drum, new visors, mirror and working dome light. I looked under the dash, it is even pristine down there! New wiring harness.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Yes, it's a Hemi! $30,000 invested in the 426 motor. Mostly a stock build with a little hotter cam. Correct rebuilt dual 4 barrel carbs with correct heat tubes. It is highly detailed throughout the engine bay. The metal is spotlessly clean, the orange paint is just as smooth and glossy as the body. It has a Mopar radiator, correct cap, shroud and reproduction hoses and clamps. The motor has the original style crinkle finished valve covers and the big Hemi air cleaner. All the brackets, coil, alternator, wiring, vacuum hoses are pristine. The wiper motor was concourse restored, the washer bottle and pump are new. It features power steering and power brakes. Battery is bolted down properly. It runs strong, the exhaust sound at an idle is perfect.
