At first glance, this is a sleek 1954 Chevrolet 3100 Restomod. But the true show-stopper is when you lift the hood and see nothing there! This is actually a rear-engine pickup with a huge Cadillac V8 in the bed. So this amazing setup is a true custom build that you're going to love showing off everywhere.
The bold orange sets the tone perfectly. You know you're looking at a truck that has been given some serious custom work when it also has been given a glossy finish that's so vibrant that it looks like it could glow in the dark. Those upgraded LED headlights could certainly turn night into day. There are other cool upgrades like the polished 20-inch wheels and inches chopped out of the cab's roof to give the truck a proper sporty stance. This even likes to have fun with the classic style. The unique 1954 grille is color-matched to the car and is highlighted by custom-painted pinstriping. In fact, this maroon detail pops up around the body for a great vintage cruiser style. The aluminum windshield overhang was painted a simulated wood to coordinate with the bed's real wood bed rails. And speaking of the bed, it's no longer for cargo, and now is a showpiece for the beast in the back (more on that in a moment.)
The bold orange and pinstriping return inside to accent the dash, but the overall feel is more about adding thoughtful modern upgrades. You have power windows, a cup holder center console, and an AM/FM/CD stereo. The high-back bucket seats are vastly more comfortable than anything that came out of the 1950s, and so they get you ready for driving. So does the sports steering wheel, tilt column, and full upgraded gauge package.
Just in case people did not already notice the bed, it also has a hydraulic tilt to lift to make sure crowds are going to gather when they see this one. The bed is permanently hauling Cadillac's largest V8 ever. This 500 cubic-inch motor is now advertised at 507ci. It looks great with details like the polished components, including the cool caddy valve covers. This V8 has a dual-feed air intake, Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, and an Edelbrock Performer intake. You can tell they took the time to make a quality installation, and the result is a string-running powerhouse. You have nice driving features like a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and four-wheel power disc brakes. And because the big V8 was built for front-drive cars like the Eldorado, this special setup in the rear gives you a fully independent suspension - how many custom classic pickups have that?!
