There were big investments all over this Bus that was part of the full restoration that happened from 2013-2015. And the first place you notice it is the paint. Texas Yellow is a great name for a color on a classic that's made to roam, but more importantly, it's a modern clearcoat finish with an excellent shine. So the sunlight really shows off the sheetmetal that was restored to look clean and crisp. And the cream-colored roof and matching bumpers give the full look of a coordinated 1970s-style two-tone. And everything from the color-matched wheels to the fresh weather-stripping shows a commitment to detailed quality.
The interior was restored to be vintage while adding in the right comfort. For example, the front seats have a classic low-back style, but they are really modern Procar buckets that have the padding to be long haul comfortable. The steering wheel, gauges, and shifter all have that classic VW feel. And nothing beats the commanding driving position of a forward-control van. The rear portion has full cabinet fittings and good carpeting that has a very classic style but a far fresher feel. There's custom seating that faces a collapsible table. It's all part of a package that folds flat into a twin mattress. Also, there's the iconic pop-up roof for comfortable camping.
