1979 Porsche 911SC Targa Newly refreshed 5 speed manual transmission
1979 Porsche 911SC Targa. 3.0L air-cooled flat 6 engine. I have no engine history other than the engine number on the pad falls in the range for a 1978-1979 build. One known broken head stud on cylinder number 3. All head studs should be replaced. Carerra tensioner upgrade and air box relief valve. Turbo style lower valve covers. Transmission recently removed, refreshed, and resealed. New clutch, Flywheel, Pressure Plate, Pilot bearing, Release bearing, Clutch cable, and Rear Crank Seal. New Stromski shift coupler. Fresh oil change, oil filter, and gear oil. Has AC components except for compressor. Fuchs wheels. Car starts and drives great. Engine makes good power and does not smoke or burn a oil. Good brake master cylinder and booster. Good dash, carpet, and door panels. Passenger seat shows minor wear, drivers seat has some loose stitching. Pedal cluster very good shape. Sekurit glass except for windshield. Power windows work. Clock works. Comes with several new parts including heater flapper cable with new clamps, blower motor hoses. Very solid body, floor pans, and trunk floor. Older BF Goodrich G-Force Tires with good tread. 2011 and 2016 date codes.
