This '71 is a great looking and very nice driving example of an early Bronco. It has been upgraded nicely so its an easy driver. The paint is an older, driver quality job that still shows well. If you want a real driver this is a good one.
The body on this Bronco is very solid with no obvious visible rust or rust issues. The floors, toe boards, rockers, wheel wells, door posts, etc all look good and solid. The paint is older with the typical scratches and imperfections of an older driver quality repaint. The doors open and close nicely and the panels line up well. Consider this one a 10-footer. On the street and at the gas station the thumbs up, twisted necks and compliments are never in short supply.
Inside the interior looks great with custom gauges, upgraded seating, tilt steering column, full carpeting and a 'Family Cage'. The seats are comfortable and the gauges look great. This is a comfortable place for a trip to the beach or a road trip.
Under the hood the 302 runs excellent. It fires up easily and revs quickly. The upgraded 4 speed uses a compound low making 1st gear comfortable for starting on hills or off road crawling. Out on the highway the engine is comfortably withing its RPM range.
This Bronco has been lifted with a 2 1/2" suspension lift and a 1" body lift. The bushings were replaced with quality urethane units an an adjustable tracking bar. The result is a nice driving 'one hand at 60mph' Bronco.
The rear axle is the standard Ford 9" with 4.11 gearing and a limited slip carrier for on and off road goodness. The front axle is a heavy duty Dana 44 capped off with Disc Brakes and heavy duty hubs.
The braking system has been updated with a modern Hydro-Boost assist braking. The system is fed from the hydraulic pressure from the power steering pump. The pedal feel is excellent with dramatically better braking than stock.
The tires are a 35"x12.50"x15's on a Teflon coated 15x10 aluminum wheel. They fill up the wheel wells and provide prodigious traction both on and off road.
