1958 Buick Riviera Special 46R 56k Orig Mi 364 Nail Head Engine
Absolutely beautiful 1958 Buick Special Riviera 46R with just 56,130 original miles. This car sold new in Nampa, Idaho in 1958 and remained in the same family until 2020. The original owner logged most of the miles on the car between 1958 and 1970 when he gifted the car to his son. The son drove the car sparingly but did enjoy showing it at car shows and cruising it in parades for several decades. In 2015, the original owner's grand daughter inherited the car at the age of 66 and stored it in her garage until 2020 when the family decided it was time to let the car go.
The interior of this Buick appears to be all original with the exception of the carpets and headliner. The original front seat is beginning to show its age, however the rear seat is virtually perfect. The dash is in incredible condition with very minimal wear. The vinyl dash pad has just a few minor cracks. The steering wheel has typical hairline cracks throughout, however there are no major chunks missing. The original horn still works. All of the original gauges are working aside from the fuel gauge. The heater is working and the blower motor works in the low speed position. The original radio remains in the car, but is not currently working.
The exterior of this Buick is very nice and straight. The car appears to have had one 1970s era repaint, but still looks incredible for its age. The trim is entirely complete aside from 3 missing grille squares as shown. The panel alignment is very even throughout and the door, hood and trunk operation is very smooth. The body is entirely rust free aside from typical surface rust on the undercarriage. The frame is completely solid.
