1959 Lister Chevrolet Knobbly Re-Creation by Beck 450HP
1959 Lister Chevrolet-Knobbly Re-Creation by Beck 450HP
This is a very unique vintage race car built by Beck Engineered Replica. Beck is the only firm licensed to produce a Lister kit.
The car was purpose-built to run SCCA autocross events. It has been proven at over 150 mph on the race track. It is a re-creation of a 1959 Lister built in Cambridge England using a small block Chevy as per period use. It is titled as 1959 Lister SVO which is great for export purposes and vintage racing. The build was completed in 2008 at a cost of approx. $124,000 with documentation to support that number. The car has only been driven approx. 2900 +/- since new.
This engine was a brand new crate motor at the time of the build and has been race built and dyno'ed to 450HP and 450 lb ft torque. One could easily get another 100 horsepower if you wanted to continue with further modifications. The steering wheel is removable for ease of access. The car has a correct fuel cell and all safety equipment required for vintage racing. The car is very fast, responsive and is reasonable to maintain. It has a Borg Warner Super T-10 4 speed transmission. Unlike most of the Lister re-creations, this car was built using Corvette C4 suspension in all 4 corners so it has independent front and rear suspension unlike the solid rear axle of most re-creations. It drives superbly, like a race car of its caliber should.
Here is your chance to own a vintage race car far more unique than a Cobra that drives substantially better as well. When was the last time that you saw one of these at the local cars and coffee?
