Bodywork and a repaint in the original Sebring Silver (941) was completed in 1998. The car was disassembled and sanded to bare fiberglass before the base and paint were applied. New body mounts and fasteners were installed along with new emblems, trim pieces, rubber weather stripping on the doors and glass, and felts/rubbers on the side windows. The stainless steel taillight housings, interior sill plates, side mirrors, and door handles were replaced and have been cleaned and power polished. The C2 was the first Corvette to be offered as a coupe and the first to have retractable headlights. A set of period American Racing D spoke wheels have been installed and wear Bridgestone RD-207 tires. The original wheels and hubcaps are included and can be seen in the image gallery below. The twin cowl dash design was new for 1963 and features circular gauges with black faces. The black interior has been refurbished and includes the original clear GM floor mats. The L76 327ci V8 was good for 340 hp when new. In 1986, it was rebuilt by Best Engine Rebuilders in Edmonton, Alberta, bored over 0.40, and balanced. The engine is #3106468F1130RE with a block casting date of K292
