1968 Chrysler 300 Series hideaway lights rare and beautiful
You are looking at a rare and beautiful 1968 CHRYSLER 300 CONVERTIBLE with hideaway lights in the front .With a low production of 2161 units it is one of the best looking convertibles offered in the 300 Sport Series. I purchased this car in early 2007 in Kansas city and kept it as original as possible. It is equipped with a 350 HP 4 barreled 440 cubic inch V8 10.1 to 1 compression ratio engine mounted to a Torque flight 3 speed fully automatic transmission .The car has numerous options (not all of them had so many) such as adjustable steering column, individual headrest , power steering , power driver’s seat, power windows (4) power top , power disc brakes , radio and factory A/C (does not blow air). During my ownership the car was repainted once in its original Sunfire yellow color , the top was replaced ,the front seats reupholstered a new gas tank and a new sending unit were put in together with 4 new tires (P 215/75HR 14 98S) lugs nuts and rally wheels . A complete brake job was also carried out including a new brake booster, new master cylinder, new wheel cylinders, new brake hoses , new brake pads. The fuel pump and ignition system were redone .Spark plugs ,condenser, rotor points ,coil ignition distribution were replaced .The carburetor was rebuilt and new weather stripping installed . All fluids have been replaced. This MOPAR is in superb condition, it is very comfortable & fun to drive and gets lots of attention specially with the top down at traffic lights.
