1974 Triumph TR-6 1974 TRIUMPH TR-6 40609 MILES HIGLY ORIGINAL
1974 TRIUMPH TR-6 CONVERTIBLE. MIMOSA YELLOW WITH CHESTNUT TRIM AND BOOT, BLACK SOFT TOP. REDLINES. 40,609 MILES. HIGLY ORIGINAL, WELL-PRESERVED EXAMPLE. ORIGINAL PAINT.
The bodywork on this car is exceptional with per factory gapping. Paintwork has been paint-metered all over and is found to be totally original with a few slight repairs. It’s showing thin in a few places.
Chrome work is excellent, with a nice original windshield and gasket..
The interior trim is totally original with the suspicion of only recovered/restuffed seats utlizing factory covers and new sun visors installed. The original dashboard pads and wood look excellent with only some deterioration to the switch plinth above the choke knob. Carpets, door panels, door seals, radio console are all original and nice. There has been a period aftermarket center console added which is a sensible touch. The car’s original top boot is superb. The original OEM soft top fitted now has a yellowed rear window and needs replacement.
Mechanically, the car is fantastic, of course. It performs just like a low mileage TR-6 should. The Michelin Red Line tires are a superb original touch.
The car drives well along the road making all of the right sounds.
Overall, an impressively original low mileage TR-6 in nice colors still wearing it’s very good original paint. This car could use a few items for improvement, and is a smart buy going forward.
