1979 MG Midget Cobra 400hp 302 Ford C4 Automatic power with 2500 TCI stall converter
1979 MG Midget Cobra 400hp 302 Ford/C4 Automatic power with 2500 TCI stall converter, Aluminum Heads, Stainless Headers, Roller Cam, Edelbrock Dual Quads, Ford Explorer 8.8 3.70 TracLoc Rear End with 4-link Coil Over Shocks and Disc Brakes, Mustang II Power Steering Coil over Disc Brake Front Suspension. This is a ONE OF full custom build from a 40,000 mile Arizona MG Midget. There are many MGB V8 cars but few if any MG Midget V8 conversions to date which makes this Cobra type conversion very unique and a Car Show Specialty. This Little Red Rocket draws very large crowds of interest at the many car shows attended this past Summer along with other participants trying to imagine how it was built and what it's like to drive it. The first comment is usually what kind of kit car is this..? This complete car is hand crafted by myself all STEEL with the only exception being the composite nose from a 350Z molded into the stock MG Midget fenders. Rear tires are 10.5 x 17" and fronts are 8.0 x 16" BFG's. This car is amazingly perfectly balanced with #1120 F and #1128 R with a total Empty weight of #2248. This chassis is very complex and exotic unlike the rather unsophisticated chassis of Cobra Kit Cars and weighs #300 less than a Factory Aluminum AC Cobra and #100 less than a Fiberglass Replica Cobra.
