1973 BMW 2002 Verona 5 Speed Sunroof Verona Red
The original colour was Verona, paint code 024."This 1973 BMW 2002 has been refinished in its factory Verona red color and features it's original Saddle brown interior. It is powered by a 2.0-Liter inline-four paired to a 5-Speed manual transmission (Getrag 245) out of a 320i model. This car has been partially restored to look stock and original but with tasteful upgrades. Recent work includes brake system overhaul where brand new calipers, rotors, and some lines were replaced. Optima performance battery was installed and starter was replaced with a remanufactured Bosch unit. New radiator was installed and cooling system was flushed entirely. Front suspension was refreshed with Ireland Engineering polyurethane bushing and new Kumho Solus 185/70R-13 tires were mounted to the 13" steel wheels. Car is currently running the Weber 32/36 but will soon need a rebuild as fumes occasionally are present from within the cabin. Some minor work has been done to interior starting with the door cards being rebuilt, and (Esty) carpet installed. Headliner was removed and replaced with OEM unit. All seals (door, trunk, and sunroof) were replaced including front and rear windshield. New stainless steel belt line and knee trim was installed. Dashboard is near perfect with no noticeable cracks. Sealed headlights were also replaced with new Koito H4 7" units.A few things need attention: driver seat needs upholstery, Carb needs a refresh, motor mounts, heater box needs rebuild, doors need minor adjustment, throw-out bearing makes will need replacing, and windshield has a few chips.
