The second-generation of the C/K lineup focused on adding creature comforts to full-sized pickups. Ride quality was improved through the use of coil spring trailer arm rear suspensions and independent front suspensions. Starting with a 5.3L LS V8 with a polished aluminum intake tied to an automatic transmission and custom exhaust, the truck was built to perform. Lowered with a 3-inch front and 5-inch drop in the rear using a Western Chassis suspension kit and sway bar with 4-wheel disc brakes and 20-inch U.S.
