1963 Studebaker Avanti Manual
This vehicle was garaged at his house in San Marino while he owned it and until he gave it to the current owner in 2011 to restore, (his Son-In-Law).He had the car trucked to Houston and began the restoration process.The cosmetic work includes a new paint job from a corvette/fiberglass specialist in Houston with the original Avanti silver paint color.The interior has been re-carpeted with authentic Studebaker carpet with a sound/heat pad installed under the carpet and a new leather headliner and dashboard cover were installed.The front and rear bumpers were re-chromed.The rest of the chrome, medallions, hub caps and bright work areoriginal. Extensive mechanical work has been done by various specialty shops in Houston to rework the entire car.Major items include a new muffler system, rebuilt original front suspension, brake service, new alternator, rebuilt starter motor, new battery in 2018
