1940 Buick Super Sport Coupe Torpedo C body beautiful looking car 8009 Miles
Here we have a beautiful Buick Super that has been well loved by its past few owners. It has been serviced well through the years, has never needed a full restoration, and has been garage kept its whole life. This would be a very nice car for all your cruise night events, local car shows, or just own/drive for fun! This car will be a treasure for your family to own for years to come and a great investment too. Features:· Original sticker price: $1,058.00· Engine: 248ci "Fireball" 8 Cylinder Engine· Transmission: 3 Speed Manual with column shift· Electrical System: 12 volts (and converted to alternator)· Production Figure for this model: 26,251· Wheelbase: 121 inches · Fuel economy: 13-16 mpg· Weight: 3,735· Overall Length: 204 inches· Top Speed – 82 mph (theoretical)· Average Car Cost in 1940 – $825.00· Average Household Income – $1,725.00· Average Home – $3,920.00· Average Gallon of Gas – $0.18
The original engine runs very well, idles smooth, and makes very good power. The transmission shifts well/smooth and has a good feeling clutch. Doors open and close nicely with a thud. The car drives as close to a new one as you will hope to find. No extra play in the steering, no noises, or anything of that sort. VERY easy to steer and stop. The 12 conversion is also a big plus! Just a beautiful looking car both inside and out. While there are various areas that have been touched up, and the paint is obviously very old, you can see that it shines very well and is very attractive.
