With little changes made to its passenger cars, the Ford Motor Company introduced a newly redesigned truck line in honor of its Golden Anniversary on March 13, 1953. The new-look Ford trucks featured a sleeker, more modern look than the previous year with the Ford emblem prominently displayed on the face of the new wider hoods. The '53 Ford Trucks became more focused on stylish looks and improved driver comforts, such as the new one-piece wraparound windshields, wider rear windows, deeper arm rests, push-button exterior door handles, and wider cabs that gave driver more comfort while cruising down the roads. The front ends were also significantly redesigned with the grille, in particular, receiving a new "two-bar" treatment with chrome teeth and chrome trimmed headlight pods.
