1970 Chevrolet El Camino SS 396 14354 Miles Red Pickup Truck 402 V8 3-Speed Auto
Exterior Color: Red Interior Color: Saddle Body Type: Pickup Truck Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic Engine: 402 V8 Mileage: 14,354
Chevrolet's El Camino has enjoyed a loyal following of enthusiasts since its introduction in 1959. The smoother ride of a suspension based on a passenger car combined with a useful cargo bed appealed to an entirely new group of potential customers. Also, in an age when virtually all trucks were spartan workhorses, the El Camino could be ordered with a multitude of performance and/or luxury options that were unavailable on the pickups. This beautiful 1970 El Camino SS takes this approach to its limits by combining a genuine muscle car with a comfortable and useful 'truck'. Lift the distinctive and functional Cowl Induction hood and you'll find a 402 cubic inch version of Chevy's legendary big block that's been fortified with an Edelbrock Performer 2.0 aluminum intake manifold and 4bbl carburetor. Additional features include power steering, power front disc brakes, air conditioning, TH400 automatic transmission, 12-bolt rear end with 3.31 gears (CCW), vinyl top, and a newer stereo system. This stunner is nice, front to back, top to bottom, with good paint, chrome, interior, and trim. Also, please note the outstanding condition of the floor pans and frame in the images provided. This really was the best of both worlds in 1970, as few pickups had PS, PB, and A/C, and a hot El Camino like this could outrun any truck. One more wild ride from the team that can make your dream a reality.
