1961 Chrysler 300G Survivor hot rod 44754 Miles
Old Garage Find/Survivor 1961 Chrysler 300G-it truly is the "banker's hot rod"!
Prior to my acquisition of it, this old car hadn't seen the light of day in 20+ years!
It has the 413 Max Wedge engine with push button automatic transmission. Per the previous owner, the engine and transmission were rebuilt prior to storage all those years ago, and the car has been started every 4-6 months while it has been stored-it fires right up and sounds amazing! It has a brand new battery in it as well. At some point in it's life, it appears that the car has had one repaint. It still sports its' all-original interior and it will need reupholstered and replaced if you are wanting to make this old ride into a super, top shelf, show-quality type of car. The car has no carpet in it but don't let that deter you!
I have driven the car around my subdivision for approximately 1 mile total, and it seems to ride, drive, steer, and stop as I feel it should- in such a short drive and low speed cruise anyway- the engine runs and sounds great and the transmission shifts as well! The old car will clean up nicely I believe and will make someone an excellent investment.
