1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am 403 CI 21451 Miles
1979 Firebird Trans Am is a time capsule of how it left the factory.
Most recent service includes oil change, spark plugs, cap/rotor, and plug wires. The car had been treated with a rust preventative when it was new, and it shows. There is zero rust on this car. Never driven in winters or on salt roads. The original Olds 403 CI and 3 speed Turbo Hydramatic transmission fire right to life and shift as if they were new. Car will come with 2 sets of wheels, the original 15' Rallye II wheels with original Uniroyal tires as well as brand new Year One 17" Snowflake wheels with Hankook tires. Also included is a set or replacement body trim as we believe the car originally came equipped this way.Rare to come without the hood decal this is not one you see every day. Everything on the car works as it should, lights, indicators, A/C blows cold, original AM/FM/Cassette, rear defrost, wipers, windshield washer. It all works and it's all original. All of the instrumentation works as it should even the clock!The headliner has been professionally redone with the correct original material as it was sagging in areas. Through the years the car encountered some scrapes in the garage and the previous owner touched them up as needed but the car is almost entirely original paint and very glossy.
Car does have a few scratches that can be seen on passenger lower quarter panel. It could also use some new mufflers although it sounds great as it is the weep holes have begun to rust out. Those are really the only items on the car that could use attention. This car will not disappoint it runs and drives perfectly and will take you right back in time to 1979!
