A 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 tribute is already a darn attractive car, especially with its black-on-black appearance. But when they take the time to enhance all aspects of it, you get a coupe that's irresistible. So check the super-slick paint, driver-focused interior, and performance-built big block that you fully control with four-on-the-floor. We always love the look of a modern black on a well-prepared muscle car like this. 1971 is arguably one of the best years for Chevelles with the single headlight setup and its long, streamlined rear deck. It looks particularly nice on this example because the wide form-fitting bumpers have a mirror-like shine that can attract people from across a show field. Someone spent a lot of time and money getting the big picture right to create the aggressive package and this car looks downright menacing. The expensive details are correct like the power dome cowl hood and expertly applied dual white SS stripes that are part of the clearcoat finish - that way the light rolls evenly between the dark black and the bright stripes. It's a good-looking car but it was still meant to be a driver. After all, this may look a bit like it's wearing classic mag wheels and redline tires, but those modern REV 20-inch alloys and Nitto NT555s are a package made for seriously enhanced grip. The exterior's upgraded sporting attitude was built into the interior, too. You immediately notice it with the upgrade to modern high-back racing bucket seats. These are finished in a comfortable cloth, and the rear seat was upgraded to coordinate. There are even provisions for air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) And while this all has the clean look of a good classic - even the trunk is nicely done - you really know this is a pure driver's car.
