1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Dover white 99839 Miles
This 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu 396 SS came from the factory with this color combo Dover white with a black vinyl top and was ordered as a 396 SS Car with bucket seats. The car has its original interior and carpet, black bucket seats were an upgrade and rear bench is all trimmed in black vinyl along with center consual. A two-spoke SS steering wheel fronts a 120 mph Speedometer, a tachometer and AC/ Heat controls are in the dash and this was an A/C car from the factory and the AC is not currently hooked up. The interior is very original and some chrome pieces need to be reglued down. There are some scratches on the back of the seats from passengers getting in and out. All interior does have the 396 SS badging. The Chevelle is running a 1972 396 SS Motor 402 (396) Cubic inch V8 hooked up to a TH400 3 speed transmission with Dual exhaust and sounds and looks fantastic and this car is a great driver example. The entire GM line of intermediates were based on a shorter wheelbase for 1968, which carried over to '69 models. This meant that all two-door passenger cars, including the Chevelle/Malibu series, utilized a 112-inch wheelbase and full-perimeter frame. Featuring a front and rear crossmember, it supported a heavy-duty suspension system with front and rear coil springs and power front disc brakes as standard equipment. Fixed-roof cars used a frame with open side rails, while convertible frames were fully boxed. The car was said to have been repainted under previous ownership in the original color Dover White and the vinyl top and headliners was completed about 5 years ago. The car does have the side stripes and SS badges, a new set BF Goodrich Radial T/A.
