1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS Tribute 13338 Miles
It's not just that this 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS tribute has a great color combo and cool/classic hardtop appearance. As you dig deeper, you'll see a driver-ready interior and a nicely upgraded small block V8. It makes for the kind of classic that's fun to take for a drive and show off the details. The '65 Chevelle hardtop is an iconic classic. It took the pillarless hardtop coupe look that we fell in love with in the 1950s, and then put it on a well-creased body that was pointing the way for the flared fender muscle cars of the late 1960s. There are more classic details that we love, such as bright chrome bumpers, mesh grille, and full-length Malibu trim. The trim tag tells us this was born in a timeless Tuxedo Black color, and a proper respray later in life gives a good gloss in the sunshine. It's not a too fancy show car, but rather a vehicle that looks impressive out on the road... and the complete package really shows it's meant to be out there and enjoyed. After all, the side exhaust tips, cowl hood, and rally wheels give it a terrific Saturday night boulevard cruiser look. Red interiors always look fantastic against a black exterior because it's almost like this car radiates from within. It's a driver-ready, and a driver-quality setup where you get nice upgrades like the front bucket seats, a B&M shifter in-between, a grippy wood three-spoke steering wheel, auxiliary SW readouts, and SunPro mounted on top of the dash. Under the hood is a 327 cubic-inch V8. It's an ear-correct black, and this was the largest small block you could get in 1965. So this has some nice history. It has plenty of flair everywhere, from the polished Edelbrock valve covers to the steel braided coolant lines. And because this is a driver's classic, the V8 is built with the proper performance pieces like double hump heads, an Edelbrock 600 four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock performer intake, and Hooker headers feeding the rumbling side exhaust pipes. It's a strong-running coupe that likes you to feel the road. But there are also good features for a cruiser, like the TH400 three-speed transmission. It's good at handling power and offering easy automatic shifting.
