1933 Ford Coupe Woodie 6850 Miles
This 1933 Ford Woodie may be the most beautiful work of art I have ever seen! The talented builders of this amazing automobile, created a timeless muscle car, that will always be in style! They started out with the best chassis available, the Stage III Superide chassis. They believed the frame is like the foundation of a house and the key to the structural integrity of the entire car. That particular chassis features independent suspension and stainless steel control arms. For stopping power, they used Wilwood calipers with 11 inch rotors up front and Ford drums out back. The rear suspension is a triangulated four-bar, controlling a Ford 9 inch rearend that has 3.70:1 gears.Steering is handled by a Chrysler K-car steering box and a ididit steering column. In order to successfully mate the chassis to the custom, two-door woodie body, the builders fabricated a custom floorpan from heavy-gauge steel. The gas tank is a Rock Valley, 18 gallon stainless steel tank. They used a Walker radiator to keep the Chevy 350ci/345 hp small-block cool on long trips. All that power goes through a B&M street rod converter mated to a polished aluminum turbo 350. The shilting chores are handled by a Gennie shifter. The interior features four Recaro bucket seats covered in rich dark red leather and matching deep-pile carpeting. Dashboard readouts are Classic Instruments gauges and a Vintage Air unit helps keep the passengers cool. It has power windows and yes, they work perfectly! What can I say about the wood work on this car?! Take a real close look at what these super talented craftsmen created! All the wood is either maple or birch, all of it fits together with amazing accuracy, all of it has been painstakingly sanded and varnished to a smooth finish. It will make you smile when you see it and when you touch it!This Hot Rod starts right up and runs perfectly. In my opinion, and many others opinion, the Camshaft and exhaust they chose for the Chevy engine, gives this car the perfect sound. Just another reason to smile when you are near this machine!
