1967 Pontiac GTO Linden Green Metallic with Black convertible top
Marking the end of the original generation of GTO came about in 1967, with only a few styling changes to enhance the exterior further. They included a wire mesh front grill, wider rocker sill moldings with GTO emblem moved from the fender to the forward portion, and redesigned rear tail lamps. This final year Goat also features a slightly longer body and wider wheel track for added stability, along with extra Federally mandated safety features like padded dash, new dash knobs, and energy-absorbing steering wheel & column. The engine size grew for the first time to an even 400ci and became available in three horsepower packages.
1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible finished in factory code H-2- Linden Green Metallic with Black convertible top over a special-ordered 225- Red Vinyl Strato-bucket seat interior! Options include number's matching, YS-coded 400ci V8 engine producing a factory rated 335 horsepower, console shifted His/Hers automatic transmission, factory air conditioning, 2.93:1 gear ratio with Safe-T-Track, power front disc brakes, power steering, power folding convertible top, tinted windshield, 14" Rally II wheels, pushbutton AM/FM radio(in-op), dual outside mirrors, and windshield washer! The former owner of 29 years located this GTO in Temecula, California in 1992 and enjoyed it with an older west coast restoration presented in Regimental Red. The St. Louis Car Museum would come to own the car in June 2021. The original sheet metal was already exceptionally straight and rust-free, so the body was prepped and expertly painted back to its factory designated color by Springfield Coach Group based in Springfield, MO with completion in October 2021. Fully documented with photographs, this GTO was properly disassembled to receive a new exterior finish.
