1958 Ford Thunderbird Convertible Raven Black 352 CID V8 engine 73791 Miles
In 1958 Ford introduced a brand-new larger Thunderbird that took the world by storm. Motor Trend's Car of the Year for 1958, the T-Bird was a hit. They went from a 2-seat roadster meant to compete with Chevrolet's Corvette, to a full-sized big V8 powered luxury vehicle that could comfortably seat 4. The production of convertibles started late, so only 2,134 were built in 1958 making this as rare as hen's teeth. You won't find too many convertibles for sale, and this one is priced at the bottom of the market! These are lovingly called Square Birds as the body lines were more masculine and squared off than the prior model. This one just had a new paint job in Raven Black and is matched nicely to the Black and White vinyl interior. A new Black convertible top has just been installed! This body style only lasted 1958, 1959, and 1960. The 352 CID V8 engine is paired with the 3-Speed Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission. Options on this beautiful Square Bird include: power steering, power front disc brakes, heat/defrost, vinyl interior, and AM radio. Other recent work includes a new 4-barrel carburetor, oil change, tune-up, new fuel pump, new fuel filter, power steering flush, and fuel lines flushed. If you're in the market for a 1958-1960 Ford Thunderbird, you're in luck because all this T-Bird needs is a new name on the title. Currently the white wall radial tires feature Mustang hubcaps, but the car does come with the original hub caps as well. 1958 was the only year that the top operation is "Semi-automatic". A button releases the trunk lid, and a switch inside the trunk raises and lowers the power top.
