1970 Pontiac Firebird formula 400 4 speed Coronado Gold paint
1970 formula 400 4 speed. There were only 2777 formula 4 speed made that year. Of those only approx. 400 would come with the special order Coronado Gold paint.
New BF Goodrich radial tires 15''. Had 14''Rebuilt original Rochester quadra jet.New 3.08 posi gears. Had very low gears.New exhaust system.Added Ram Air exhaust manifolds.New Vintage A/C.New Classic Radio with amp and speakers.New paint.Added rear spoiler.1970 did not have that option.Tuned by local Pontiac specialty race shop.New front grill.New Legendary complete interior. Seats, Carpet and Door Panels.Added sound proof.Head liner in excellent condition.Carburetor rebuilt.Added power brakes, came as manual.Added Ralley gauges and Tach.Firebird is rust free and probably due to undercoating. You can see the floors were in excellent shape and still had the original insulation on them. Runs really well but like any 50 plus year old car it has a couple minor issues.Tach is a little off, may need calibrated.Speedo is off by about 5 mph, not sure why it came that way so assuming gear. Couple very small imperfections in paint, i would say paint is 7-8 out of 10. Good driver quality, not show. Original Manual trans, i dont believe it was rebuilt, shifts great no noise except a little in reverse.
